WELCOME!!!!

It is our pleasure to invite you to the ISA European Conference of Arboriculture which will be held in Turin on 26-28 May 2014 under the auspices of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). The congress is organized by the Società Italiana di Arboricoltura, ISA Italy Chapter.

During the conference new research, technologies and technical innovations are being presented and discussed among scientists and practitioners from Europe and the rest of the world. Our aim is to offer a program of interest to researchers as well as practitioners, a program founded upon research results as well as evidence from the field. Our efforts should provide an excellent opportunity for participants to interact, by exchanging and debating new directions in the broad area of arboriculture and urban forestry.
1 european conference 2014 sia eng oct 500x353We are delighted to welcome you to Turin, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The city is built on an ancient Roman settlement. The beautiful buildings, the greenery, the fresh air, the presence of four rivers and the close Alpine mountains are distinctive traits of this city. The Royal Park of Venaria – one of the biggest in Italy – is a green space that breathes for the city and offers a welcome escape from the rush of the capital.
With its 2000-year history and rich cultural life, Turin offers a wide selection of world-class museums and attractions. Most of the city's attractions can be reached by walking distance, but public transportation is smooth and efficient. This allows you to experience big-city living, as well as a wealth of natural scenery, all in the course of one day.
People in the city speak good English, especially in the shops and restaurants, and are welcoming to visitors. These are some of the reasons why Turin is among the most popular international conference and convention cities in Italy.
We are planning an exciting congress that is not to be missed and hope that you will make definitive plans to participate. Your contribution is important to us, and all submissions will be handled via our homepage. We very much look forward to meeting you in Turin.
The theme for the 2014 Conference is
"Planning the green city: relationships between trees and infrastructures".
Mark your calendars so you don't miss this exciting event!
